why bodycare?

my offerings are a commitment to utilizing my skills, energy & time to provide care for the sacredness of all trans, queer & gender expansive bodies. i use the term ‘bodycare’ as alternative to ‘bodywork’ because it is more reflective of my intentions & values in the world. i believe in detangling the necessity of bodycare for all from the imperialist, white-supremacist capitalist patriarchy that has made our beautiful bodies an afterthought.

why in home massage?

my practice is mobile because i desire to make my offerings as accessible, safe & comfortable as possible. many of my clients survive & thrive in the world with marginalized identities & their unique needs may make receiving bodycare in an office scary, unsafe & pathologizing. i compare my offerings to tele-therapy & understand the value of leaving my clients cozy & comfortable at home to integrate after receiving care that may evoke tender feelings.

why light pressure massage?

as a massage therapist i care for myself, my body & the longevity of my practice by applying light to medium pressure during a session. additionally, i believe that when clients are expecting deep pressure they hold it in their system & subconsciously guard in anticipation; making it more challenging to tap into a parasympathetic or relaxed state. i am generally happy to accommodate deeper pressure in a specific area during the session if the need is present.
