our trauma lives in our bodies.
as a trans & queer person who has a deeply personal relationship to mental health & trauma issues, i aim to hold a comfortable container for my clients to release & integrate into.
our collaboration co-creates mutually agreed upon protection, consent & body sovereignty throughout our sessions. i am deeply committed to communities impacted strongly by ongoing trauma, violence & systematic oppression. by engaging in clear communication, educating myself & learning with my community, i am better able to serve & understand my clients needs.
all bodies are deserving of care, a healing touch & recognition that trauma lives in our bodies differently.

your comfort & safety is incredibly important to me! at any time during our session, i am happy to pause to re-calibrate, breathe, drink water, etc. or stop completely. please do not hesitate to let me know what you need!
in my practice to be a trauma-informed therapist, i name, out-loud, all draping i perform throughout the session. you are welcome to respond or not, but i want you to be aware of what is happening along the way.
i am happy to describe techniques & answer any questions throughout our session!

yes! as a sensory-sensitive person myself, i understand & encourage my clients to set the sensory scene for the most relaxing session possible.
this can include:
lighting: low/no lighting, wearing eye mask
scents: your favorite candle or essential oil spray
sounds: lofi, instrumental, nature/meditation, no lyrics or your favorite relaxation soundtrack
i am happy to co-create a comfortable space with you!
additionally, i use eco-friendly dye & scent free products for all of my sessions.
-
i encourage all my clients to undress to their comfort level. after our intake & assessment we will make a session plan & you can decide what is best for you!
-
$0.67/per mile is added to the payment as per the 2024 irs standard mileage rate.
if paid parking is required at the location, it may be added to the payment depending on the session length.
i have a safety person that i check in with before & after the session, if you want to extend your session i will inform them before proceeding.

this is a topic i could yell into the void about forever.
unfortunately, no i do not take insurance, but can provide a superbill if your insurance will accept it!
OHP no longer covers massage therapy without it being attached to a chiropractic appointment.
-
i wear a mask during my appointments, unless otherwise agreed upon. i am fully vaccinated & boosted. i take care to keep my hands washed & equipment sanitized at all times.
as of april 3, 2023, the oregon health authority lifted the masking requirements for health care providers. following these guidelines, i do not require clients to wear masks during massage appointments. i will continue to provide masks for individuals who choose to wear them during our session. please let me know if you prefer them to wear a mask during your massage.
if you are feeling unwell the day of your appointment, please let me know!

i understand that we live in a world that forces a majority of us to live on a 9am-5pm schedule. i believe that this schedule is not only harmful, but does not adequately meet our body’s needs.
my current schedule is mondays at the haven pdx & wednesdays/fridays for in-home sessions. my first session begins at 11am & my last session begins at 7pm! im happy to negotiate with you to find a time that works best if this schedule is not accessible.
while booking a session may take a couple extra steps, it will ensure that you have a personalized, accessible & comfortable experience.
-
my dedicated communication hours are tuesday & thursday from 11am - 6pm! this allows me the space to disconnect from my devices & be present in my life.
i strive to find the most accessible & comfortable way for clients to communicate with me & am open to different options.
-
i ask clients to give me 48 hours of notice if they need to cancel or reschedule. i understand emergencies happen, & therefore all clients benefit from one fee-free last minute cancellation per year. cancelling within 24 hours will incur a fee of 50% of the session rate, unless you are sick in any way. please give me as much notice as you can! i intend to be more lenient with my clients who struggle with chronic pain or illness & may need to cancel on the day of an appointment.
clients who do not inform me ahead of time & are not available for their appointments are responsible for payment.
as this is my main source of income, i thank you for honoring my cancellation policy & supporting me in this way.

yes i am! reach out to me with your desired trade & i will see if it is possible for me.
-
tipping is never required, but always appreciated!
it is customary to tip around 20% of the rate of the service.
-
i believe clients of any age can benefit from bodycare!
i am prepared & excited to work with people under the age of 18! if the child is younger than 18 years old, i ask for a signature from the parent or guardian & ask that they sit in on the treatment.
